Comparative Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Synthetic Nicotine
Description: The goal of this study is to learn about the effects on the body from vaping synthetic or "tobacco-free" nicotine compared to natural nicotine. The study consists of hospital visits at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) where you will be vaping natural nicotine, synthetic nicotine, and a mixture of the two. You will use only one of these products on each of the 3 hospital days. We will be collecting blood, urine, blood pressure, and questionnaires while you vape throughout the day.
Length of participation: ~5 days, including 2 clinic visits, 3 hospital visits (not consecutive). Hospital visits are full days, from 8am to 4:30pm. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Understanding the Co-Administration of Cannabis and Tobacco
Description: This is a research study that is observing the differences in the dual use of cannabis and tobacco. While on the study, you will be using the PAX Plus device and assigned to one of eight variations of product. These variations could include a varying dosage of cannabis and tobacco, and will be vaped during a standardized session (guided by a study coordinator). Following the session, there will be blood draws, questionnares, and heart rates. You will have access to the device as desired for 1-hour in the afternoon. There is a period of at least 48-hours between study visits to allow measurments to return to baseline.
Length of participation: ~10 days, including 2 clinic visits, 8 hospital visits (not consecutive). Hospital visits are full days, from 8am to 4:30pm. Breakfast and lunch provided.
