Cigarette Harm Reduction with Scheduled Electronic Cigarette Use
Description: This is a research study that is observing the differences in the addictiveness and safety of standardized electronic cigarettes and usual electronic cigarette use. Blood samples will be taken to measure the absorption of nicotine after a standardized session of your usual e-cigarette or the Standardized Research E-Cigarette while on the research ward at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Standardized Research E-Cigarettes (SREC), provided by the National Institutes of Health, will be used in this study and are considered experimental by the Food and Drug Administration and cannot be used outside of research studies.
Length of participation: ~4 days, including 2 clinic visits, and 2 hospital visits
Compensation: up to $1,130 (check); SREC products provided
